FRESH FM 102.9 is not just a radio station but a
lifestyle, a culture, and an integral part of the lives of the
Namibian youth. For that reason FRESH FM is always changing and
evolving to represent and inspire the lives of young people.
Format
FRESH FM 102.9 is a Contemporary Urban Youth radio station playing a
mixture of R&B, hip-hop, kwaito, house, pop and international tribal
like kizomba, kwasa-kwasa, kuduro and reggae with 75% music and 25%
talk. News every hour 6 am to 6 pm with specialised current affairs
local, national and international affairs and sports with African
music constituting at least 60% of its playlist.
Target audience
FRESH FM targets and attracts the urban youth aged 14-30,
imaginative, curious, outgoing and ambitious young students,
entrepreneurs and working Namibians. They are continuously seeking
new ways to improve their lives and their communities so that they
are able to lead successful and rewarding lives. Always on the move
pursuing careers, education and new opportunities they lead
fast-paced lives.
Our presenters
The majority of our presenters are vibrant, talented,
twenty-something's and most of them occupy multiple roles in the
entertainment industry. These multiple roles ensure that they are
completely in touch with the latest developments in youth culture.
